Dr Elichilia R. Shao
Physician and Microbiologist trained in Tanzania, USA, and UK working at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center in Kilimanjaro teaching hospital, Tanzania. He has experience in teaching and clinical work for more than 15 years mainly in infectious diseases. He has more than 40- publications in peer-reviewed journals with five public health educational books.
He is very passionate about public health education through radio, books, television, social media, and one on one to make sure that we reduce the load from physicians’ shoulders by educating people to be able to own their health.
He has received several awards: the Fogarty international fellowship award, Bill and Melinda travel award, THRiVE Msc awards, Prof Ben Hamel award best publication award, Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University Award of outstanding publications, Hepatitis B Vaccination champion award, and COVID-19 vaccination ambassador.
